McDONALD’S X CANADA COAST TO COAST MONOPOLY

McDonald's brought Canada's favorite promotion—Coast to Coast Monopoly—back for another year, and tasked us with getting customers EVEN MORE excited about the game in order to strengthen their connection to the brand and increase guest counts.
How'd we do that? By giving Canadians more of what they loved most: Money, Maple Leaves, and Mr. Monopoly.

PRE-PROMOTE CONTEST

We wanted Coast to Coast Monopoly to hit the ground running, so we drummed up excitement by running a pre-promotion contest in the McDonald’s App to raise user engagement.

 

With the Maple Leaf front and center of our new Coast to Coast Monopoly theme, we were able to raise Canadian pride to new heights while driving home winner believability with a 1 in 5 chance to win incredible prizes by partnering with some of Canada’s biggest brands.

SWEEPSTAKES

To keep consumer engagement up throughout Monopoly, there was also a Sweepstakes taking place to get consumers in the McDonald’s App.

 

DIGITAL TRACKER

Drove even more engagement by giving customers the ability to redeem spare Game Stamps for additional rewards. We were able to drive customers into McDonald’s more often, resulting in a significant bump in the average number of codes entered per customer.
